This second phase extension project, was built on a site adjacent to the existing private Fern Dean nursing home and comprised of the construction of 25 bedrooms, an additional 23 net beds to the home.

This high-end, three storey, new build extension to the existing home, interconnects to same, and allows for a dedicated dementia care unit, additional daily communal and private living and dining areas, wellbeing, nurse-call, social areas, garden spaces, surface car and bicycle parking.

These projects were also constructed throughout the COVID pandemic, with associated restrictions in place, and consequential tender price inflation.  Notwithstanding this, the project was completed in September 2021, on time and within budget.
